Downtown development forum
Working in partnership with GRID Magazine, Venture Richmond has published a new 20-page magazine, titled RVA's Downtown Transformation , featuring more than 50 downtown development projects completed or under way for 2013-2014. The projects represent $1.2 billion of investment, 2,510 lofts, 454 hotel rooms, 1.6 million square feet of commercial space and 2,479 parking spaces. These figures do not include the proposed Shockoe Bottom Revitalization Plan.
Venture Richmond held its Annual Downtown Development Forum on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Richmond CenterStage. Seventeen developers presented 45 development projects that were recently completed or underway in downtown Richmond. The projects included 2,400 apartments, 750,000 square feet of commercial space and $1.15 billion investment in downtown Richmond, which included $600 million of private sector investment.
