About Venture Richmond:
Venture Richmond is a new organization that engages business and community leaders in partnering with the City to enhance the vitality of the community, particularly downtown, through economic development, marketing, promotion, advocacy and events. Venture Richmond represents the merger of Richmond Renaissance, City Celebrations, River District Alliance and Richmond Riverfront Corporation.
About Historic Richmond Foundation:
Founded in 1935, Historic Richmond Foundation is the largest and oldest non-profit organization devoted to preserving the historic assets that define the unique character of the Richmond area. The agency has been instrumental in saving hundreds of historic structures, was a leader in the designation of the city’s first historic district (St. John’s) in Church Hill, and has pioneered the concept of adaptive reuse of old buildings.
About the Virginia Center for Architecture:
The Virginia Center for Architecture invites the public to explore the power and importance of architecture through exhibitions, educational programs, publications, and its stewardship of a historic landmark. One of the nation’s few museums devoted to the building arts and design, the Center creates understanding of the value, meaning and influence of built environments. Located in a landmark Tudor-Revival mansion on Monument Avenue, the museum educates and entertains Virginians and visitors alike.
