Is there parking available?

Yes. Check out each festival’s special section on this site for specific information on parking.

Where can I stay overnight?

There are many hotels downtown. Here are just a few located within a mile or two of the Canal Walk and Brown’s Island.

If it’s raining, does the show go on?

Most of our events go on, rain or shine. However, Friday Cheers may occasionally be canceled if torrential rain is occurring and the forecast calls for massive amounts of rainfall throughout the evening. Events may also be postponed or interrupted if weather appears dangerous or may be dangerous.

What can’t I bring with me?

Items that are not permitted include, but are not limited to:

• Pets (service animals are permitted)
• Large backpacks, bags, coolers, etc.
• Alcohol
• Bottles/glass containers
• Contraband (drugs and weapons)
• Laser pointers
• Bikes, skateboards, inline skates
• Flying objects (kites, Frisbees, footballs, etc.)

Security is on site at each festival, and all items are subject to search at any time.

Recording equipment (audio and video), cameras (video and flash) may be restricted at certain events at the request of the artist(s).

Can I bring a blanket or lawn chair?

Yes, please make yourself comfortable.

Is there an ATM on the site?

Most Venture Richmond events have ATMs onsite with the exception of Easter on Parade.

Are there restrooms?

Yes, there are portable toilets located throughout event sites, including handicapped bathrooms.

Is smoking allowed?

Yes, but please help us keep the event site clean. Remember to dispose of cigarette butts and other trash in the proper receptacles.

May I leave the event and come back?

Yes. Re-entry is acceptable at all free events. For Friday Cheers, re-entry will be permitted with a hand stamp.

Will I have fun?

Absolutely! Enjoy all that downtown Richmond has to offer.
