Anthem Stride Through Time: A Fresh Take On History
American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar (start & finish)
Registration fee for participants, 8am-1pm
An interactive celebration of local history mixes with fitness. Anthem Stride Through Time will pass by many historic sites. Walkers will encounter music, living history and street exhibitions. The walk is an example of how to adapt our past to our present by celebrating Richmond's historic communities, structures and events through something popular like exercise walking. The untimed fitness walk will take place on the Canal Walk and city sidewalks.

Volunteers Needed for the 2010 Richmond Folk Festival
October 8-10
The Richmond Folk Festival depends greatly on the many generous folks who volunteer their time and energy to making this fun event successful, and there are a variety of exciting volunteer areas.
In 2009, more than 1,200 volunteers joined in the effort to make the Richmond Folk Festival such a success - don't miss out on your chance this year.
If you choose to apply online, you will receive an automatic email confirmation of your application. Job assignments will be emailed in late August/early September.
The Festival is a wonderful place for civic, school, church and office organizations to volunteer. Please email Betsy Lecky, Volunteer Coordinator, to learn more about group volunteer opportunities.
