Anthem Stride Through Time: A Fresh Take On History
American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar (start & finish)
Registration fee for participants, 8am-1pm
An interactive celebration of local history mixes with fitness. Anthem Stride Through Time will pass by many historic sites. Walkers will encounter music, living history and street exhibitions. The walk is an example of how to adapt our past to our present by celebrating Richmond's historic communities, structures and events through something popular like exercise walking. The untimed fitness walk will take place on the Canal Walk and city sidewalks.

Venture Richmond's signature summer concert series, Friday Cheers, presented by Coors Light and Yuengling, is back on Brown's Island for its 26th season and promises to feature some of the nation's hottest touring acts that may only be in the Region once this summer, along with some regional favorites.

June 4 - Karl Denson's Tiny Universe w/ DJ Williams Projekt
A highly energized funk machine, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe has been expanding listeners' minds and making them move to animated grooves since 1998. Led by former Lenny Kravitz sax-man Karl Denson, the Tiny Universe brings a dynamic sound that defies categorization. The band members, Denson on vocals, tenor sax, alto sax and flute, guitarist Brian Jordan, bassist Ron Johnson, keyboard player David Veith, trumpet player Chris Littlefield and drummer John Staten, have earned a reputation as kings of the unstoppable all-night show. Catch them on their first tour since taking a hiatus three years ago this March.
