The new owners at the Hat Factory are partnering to bring a big, new approach to entertainment in Shockoe Slip. Hat Factory's schedule will feature nationally and locally recognizable acts, a new restaurant, and weekday and weekend dance nights. Ben Wingrove, a Richmond-native and one of the owners says, "It's exciting to work on a project back at home. I grew up here and learned to love music here. We know this is going to be an extremely challenging project, but we are going to try really hard to provide a great atmosphere for a show and an evening out."

Hat Factory's restaurant, which will be named soon, will be opening for lunch, dinner and late night service starting mid-September. The restaurant, which features canal-front dining outside and inside, will show off Richmond's unique place in history and popular culture.
