Inauguration Day Events in Downtown Richmond

Inauguration Day Interfaith Service of Prayer & Music, featuring Gospel Sensations Maggie Ingram & the Ingramettes

On Inauguration Day, St. Paul's Episcopal Church will host an interfaith service of prayer and music followed by a broadcast of the swearing-in ceremony. Leading the prayer service are The Rev. D. Wallace Adams-Riley (St. Paul's), Anjum Ali (Virginia Muslim Coalition), The Rev. Dr. Yvonne Jones Bibbs (Sixth Baptist Church), and Rabbi Ben Romer (Congregation Or Ami). Leading the music will be gospel sensations Maggie Ingram and the Ingramettes, the award-winning Richmond-based group recently featured on stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The prayer service will begin at 10:30am and end in time for interested participants to head to Parish Hall to watch a broadcast of the Presidential swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address (at 11:30am). The day will conclude with a chorus of patriotic hymns. Light refreshments will be available in Parish Hall.
