Art Works November 26, 2010 East 4th Street between Decatur and Hull
THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING ART AFFAIR ushers in the holiday season with a 12 hour festival of shopping, music, workshops and exhibits.
Starting at 10 a.m. the craft, art and food vendors share holiday wares.
7-10 p.m. the art show receptions and ceremonies take place. The exhibits continue through January 23, 2011
This event is free and open to the public and features:
- The UMBRELLA FARMERS' MARKET vendors will be featured on 4th Street from 10 a.m. until dark. You will find locally grown food, and local art, crafts, jewelry, pottery and fun gift items.
In the main gallery, Twelve Artisans and fine craftsmen will be displaying and selling the unique and innovative artwork and gifts. This year Dawn Anderson of PopCultureRehab.com is the organizer of the artisans and brings a bright new look to this part of the event.
Visit the Really Richmond Room where you will find gifts uniquely about Richmond, for Richmonders and gifts for the historically minded.

- HANDMADE GIFT WORKSHOPS! From 10 am - 5 pm, children can make holiday gifts while parents shop. The children will complete 4 different gifts from beaded ornaments to Holiday slap bracelets, wrapped and ready to give to their friends and family! The workshop will take about an hour for each child. $25/per person.
There will be door prizes and a raffle of a beautiful gift basket of cheese from Vermont's Dairy Farmers' Coop - CABET CHEESE.
At 7:00 the Reception for all the art exhibits begins with more music and a juried talk and awards presentation for the ALL MEDIA ART SHOW and the SIMPLY PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW. Meet the artists; enjoy refreshments and libations sponsored by Easters Seals will all profits from the cash bar going to Easter Seals. All the art exhibits continue through January 23, 2011 and include:

The 7th Annual photography show Jane Sandelin Gallery. This is also a juried show and gives photographers an opportunity to display "just photography".
