It's Fashion Week in Richmond

Every year, RVA Fashion Week has been committed to collaborating with local businesses and designers to display Richmond's style, creativity, street culture, and elegance through fashion. RFW's goal has been to raise awareness of local fashion for businesses, sponsors, vendors, participants, and guests at each event.

On Thursday, April 7, 2011, in preparation for the Catwalk for Kids of Richmond, renowned fashion designer Amy Smilovic (Tibi), red carpet accessory designer Mary Norton, designer and fashion expert Tinsley Mortimer, entertainers Susan Greenbaum and Zak Resnick (American Idol),will join together with a cadre of volunteers at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. The group will work with young patients to design custom handbags in a "Creative Collaborative." Celebrity designed bags will be auctioned at the Catwalk for Kids of Richmond 2011 to benefit the Children's Hospital of Richmond.
