Easter on Parade, the beloved Richmond tradition that showcases attendees "parading" up and down scenic Monument Avenue, continues this year on Sunday, April 24, 1-5 p.m. on the blocks between Allen and Davis Avenues. The event is presented by Kroger and produced by Venture Richmond.
Each year more than 25,000 people converge upon the four-block site to celebrate the arrival of spring and the beauty of Monument Avenue, taking this once-a-year opportunity to stroll in the streets, which are closed to vehicular traffic. Music, arts, crafts, children's activities, food, balloon artistry, photos with the Easter Bunny (for a fee), a petting zoo, and of course, people and pet watching all are a part of the celebration which is, literally, a
parade of Richmonders. Admission is FREE.
