Friday Cheers this week Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave.!
Tomorrow the 20th is the second installment of this year's Friday Cheers outdoor concert series. We will be featuring acclaimed New Orleans trombone virtuoso Trombone Shorty with his band Orleans Ave. You may be asking "Trombone? Really?" and to that I have only to say that once you hear Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave's "SupaFunkRock" style they will have you on your feet dancing and having the time of your life! Trombone Shorty is a true talent who in his short career has garnered the respect of major international jazz and rock artists. Opening for Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave. will be RVA's own Glows in the Dark. Tickets for this show are only 5 dollars, money well spent.
