Miss Lori, known to millions of preschoolers who come to her TV
schoolhouse everyday, joins the Parade this year as Grand Marshal! In
her role, Miss Lori leads the Ukrop's Christmas Parade, 83-units long
and bursting with marching bands, giant balloons, holiday floats and
fun specialty groups. The parade starts at the Science Museum on 2500
W. Broad and continues east down Broad Street to 7th Street.
Not only can spectators see Miss Lori as Grand Marshal, they can
also meet her in person at the new Comcast Character Lunch following
the parade at the Downtown Marriott from 1:00-3:00pm. There she joins
cartoon characters Piggley Winks, the Berenstain Bears and Noddy to
celebrate the spirit of the season with lunch guests. Sgt. Santa joins
the Character Lunch after riding in the final float of the Christmas
Parade, waving and wishing the crowds a Merry Christmas! Tickets to the
Comcast Character Lunch are $15/child and $20/adult, and may be
purchased at Richmond.com through November 29th.
