First Annual "Virginia Wine Expo" to be held February 16 – 17
Greater Richmond Convention Center
You will have an opportunity to taste and purchase wines from more than
30 Virginia wineries at the first annual Virginia Wine Expo, presented
by SunTrust, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Virginia is one of the "newest ready-for-primetime wine regions
from around the world," according to Travel + Leisure Magazine in its
July 2007 issue. With more than 130 wineries in the Commonwealth,
Virginia wines represent a booming niche in commerce from wineries of
all sizes.
The Virginia Wine Expo will feature a special exhibit designed to
educate, enlighten and entertain attendees about Virginia wines, as
well as present many of Virginia's finest food purveyors and dining
establishments offering food samples and chef demonstrations.
